Happy Sunday everyone! How’s your weekend going?? I’m spending this weekend with Ryan which is consisting of lots of rest, blogging and night photography adventures (you know, chasing the milkyway, cause everyone does that right?!). Basically I’m doing everything besides what I should be doing: my uni work ha! Anywho, this time last week things were a little bit different, I was at a photoshoot with Bristle & Bones (you might remember them from this post here) and today I’m going to show you what we got up to!
As you have probably already guessed, the shoot was 70’s inspired and I absolutely loved it. The big hair. The velvet. The flares. 70s Perfection. Now let’s discuss the deets. My hair and makeup was done by two talented ladies, Natashia (hair stylist and the co-owner of Bristle & Bones) and Lyné (MUA). I took a hundred and one photos of it so I could try and recreate it myself haha! Ahh how good would it be to be able to do your hair and makeup like a pro?! Seriously though, I think I’m going to have to start incorporating more middle parts and autumn eye shadow tones into my hair and makeup routine. Anyways, the look was finished off by two of my favourite things: wrap dresses and chokers. More specifically, a gorgeous dusty pink velvet wrap dress and a matching velvet choker paired with a chunky jewelled choker (I’ve linked similar items below if you want to get the look). All the photos were shot by the lovely Tayla within the B&B salon because they have the prettiest lighting and walls (it’s like an Instagrammers/bloggers dream lol). And before you knew it, it was all done. That’s the thing with shoots, you can be in hair and makeup for hours and then the actual photoshoot can take just a few minutes ha!
I hope you guys enjoyed seeing what we got up to! Is anyone doing anything exciting this weekend? 🙂 x
